WHY Buy Local?local foods, natural, certified organic, new hampshire

  • On average, the typical consumer's food travels 1,500 miles or more from farm to table (New Perspectives on Food Security, Conference Proceedings 2004) Buying local foods reduces emissions associated with transportation and packaging

  • Exceptional freshness and taste

  • Buying local food and products keeps your dollar circulating in the community.  You help support local, endangered family farms by making them more profitable and, in turn, making development less attractive

  • Knowing where your food comes from enables you to choose food raised without antibiotics, hormones, and undesirable chemicals from farmers you know and trust
